Description
Birdphant, catmouse or frogdog. What kind of funny animal names are these? Create comical imaginary animals and funny sounding names which will make you all laugh. This game helps children to quickly recognise and name animals and imitate the sounds they make.
Players take turns to throw both colour dice ad make up funny imaginary animal names depending on the colours that have been thrown. If the same animal is on BOTH colour cards thrown, or if the same colour is thrown on both the dice, then the sound the animal makes has to be imitated. The player who carried out the correct action fastest wins and gets the cards.
Version for younger children:
The game can be played with fewer animals.

Take the time to consider how animals move. What’s the difference between the way a mouse and an elephant move? How does a frog hop and how does a snake slither through the room?
Take a look at the animal cards and then classify them, eg into pets or savanna animals.
There are TWO of each animal card so you can easily turn this game into a fun memory card game. Use fewer pairs when playing with younger children.
